The ASU Natural History Collections are one of the fastest-growing collections in the nation, with millions of specimens of plants, fish, birds, animals, insects, and everything in between! These collections are supported by the School of Life Sciences and are used for teaching, research, and public outreach. We’ve brought out a wide sampling for you to enjoy - come and take a look.

Join us at the Piper Center for a day of poetry! There will be an assortment of pre-made DIY miniature models to browse and visitors will have the opportunity to select one to write their very own ekphrastic poem, which is a form of poetry based on visual art. Get your creative engines running and use the scene to tell a new story! We will also have treats and a typewriter poet offering custom poems. Tours will be available at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Don’t miss out!
The Pat Tillman Veterans Center will be offering Open Door guest to make clothespin airplanes inside our center. Kids will have fun putting together clothespins and popsicle sticks to make airplanes for their enjoyment.
Visit the 6th floor Cronkite News studio for the Cronkite Studio Experience. Get behind the anchor desk and try your hand at reading the teleprompter. Go in front of the green screen to do a weather forecast. And get behind-the-scenes inside the control room where cameras, lights, and 'action' take the news from studio to audience TVs.
