Come check out the First Tech Challenge Valley of the Sun Robotics Competition, which is highlighted by our Herberger Young Scholar Academy students at ASU West Valley campus!
Come play the game "two truths and a lie" while wearing a motion tracking suit. We will capture your movements as you tell your short story, while we simultaneously project your movements as a large skeleton on the wall behind you. The goal is to see if you can beat an Artifical Intelligence or AI-powered "lie detector algorithm".
Learn about careers through fun interactive games! We will host trivia about the degrees and affiliated jobs, and kids will have the option to dress up as professionals in the field.
Have you ever wondered how to read or write in Braille? Are you interested in learning a new way of communicating in a “secret” code? We will teach you about the origin of Braille, the Braille alphabet, and we will even help you to write your own name in Braille!
In this activity, participants attempt to create a "cat" using playdough. Images of the playdough cat are then fed into an AI-image detection algorithm. The algorithm describes what it identifies in the image (for example, whether or not it's a cat). The AI system then tries to produce an image of a cat based on the playdough sculpture.
