Open house at Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera Facility

Saturday, March 1, 2014 - 4:00pm to 9:00pm

Join us for an Open House at the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera Science Operations Center, featuring the Apollo moon rock, tours of the facility, exciting lunar activities for all ages and telescope viewing of the Moon!

Other activities will include a "design your own space mission" and "design your own lunar settlement" for older children and "design your own mission patch", a coloring sheet, for younger children. The LROC team will also have several other coloring sheets available and will also be using printed WAC/NAC images to teach about the differences between our cameras as well as for education on other lunar missions and craters. There will also be an activity with Saturn IV rockets and LEGO robots. Additionally, we will have myriad LROC freebie items.
