Strengthening Higher Education Access in Malawi Activity (SHEAMA) funded by USAID

SHEAMA is a 4-year, USAID funded activity that started in December 2018. SHEAMA is being implemented by Arizona State University (ASU) with its consortium partners that include Overseas Strategic Consulting and Malawi’s five public universities i.e. MZUNI; LUANAR; Chancellor College, Polytechnic and MUST; and local industries. SHEAMA endeavors to develop a viable and effective ODL model with Malawian universities that is economically sustainable, feasible, replicable and appropriate for Malawi. The goal of SHEAMA is to increase Malawi’s skilled and employable workforce—especially adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and vulnerable young men.
